What does “homeland” mean to you?
Homeland, for me, means a place where I not only come from, but have memories of, where each step has a little bit of Deja vu. Ideally, those memories and feelings should be fond ones.
What is it like for you being connected to more than one country?
It is wonderful. I can take the good from multiple countries, and can hope, desire, and work towards omitting the less good parts of each one as well.
What is your greatest concern at the moment?
Living in a conflict zone, I’m deeply concerned with peace and stability—and with safeguarding the Western values that have enabled the modern world’s prosperity and historically rare stability.
Do you participate in votes in Switzerland? If so, why?
Of course – we have a stake in Switzerland's future and it is important that one stay updated, informed, vote, and participate as much as possible from the diaspora – politically, culturally, and economically.
William Tell is ...
… a symbol of freedom in a world where we don't always appreciate these values enough.

When I think about Switzerland ...
… I always smile, take a breath, and remember how important family, nature, and values are.
When do you wish the country in which you live were a bit more Swiss?
The business culture, the careful and thoughtful approach towards public funding, the punctuality, and the aspiration for common ground are all Swiss traits that I wish were more present where I live, in Israel.
Is everyday life with your family multilingual?
Yes – Hebrew, English, and German are all very common languages in our home and are all languages that we will be teaching our newborn son. If there's an Italian tutor around, feel free to get in touch ;)
