Homeland, for me, means a place where I not only come from, but have memories of, where each step has a little bit of Deja vu. Ideally, those memories and feelings should be fond ones.
It is wonderful. I can take the good from multiple countries, and can hope, desire, and work towards omitting the less good parts of each one as well.

Of course – we have a stake in Switzerland's future and it is important that one stay updated, informed, vote, and participate as much as possible from the diaspora – politically, culturally, and economically.

The business culture, the careful and thoughtful approach towards public funding, the punctuality, and the aspiration for common ground are all Swiss traits that I wish were more present where I live, in Israel.
Yes – Hebrew, English, and German are all very common languages in our home and are all languages that we will be teaching our newborn son. If there's an Italian tutor around, feel free to get in touch ;)
