YPSA | Youth Parliament of the Swiss Abroad holds new elections

24.04.2026 – Walter Schmid

The Youth Parliament of the Swiss Abroad (YPSA) held new elections at its latest meeting. Under new president Sofía Garcia-Reyes Meyer (Colombia), the YPSA wants to continue strengthening the network of young Swiss Abroad while expanding its engagement in Swiss associations outside Switzerland and advocating its interests within these associations and in expatriates’ countries of residence.

The YPSA sees itself not as a parliament in the conventional sense, but as a platform for dedicated young people aged 15 to 35 who live abroad or have lived abroad for at least ten years. It creates a community for exchanging information, sharing experiences and discussing opinions.

In holding these latest elections, the YPSA underscored its commitment to raising awareness of the needs of young Swiss Abroad, thus playing a key role in helping young people to participate in political and social life, irrespective of where they live around the world. www.ypsa.ch
