Christmas reminds us of what connects us at our core – not institutions or material resources, but love, trust and responsibility. These values are deeply rooted in the Swiss identity and also sustain us as a global Swiss community.

In changing times, it is important to keep this bond alive – across continents and in the awareness of a shared identity. Swiss citizenship is more than a key to the world: it stands for freedom, solidarity and the will to shape our community from the bottom up.
