90th year of holiday camps - a successful New Year's camp
The 2024 jubilee year got off to a great start with a winter camp. Snow, sun, motivated participants and counsellors: all the ingredients were there for an unforgettable time in the Swiss mountains.
The New Year camp in Grächen attracted 28 participants. They hit the slopes of the Valais ski resort and had a great time. For some, it was their first experience of snow, while others enjoyed their first runs of the season. From beginners to experienced skiers, the ski and snowboard lessons were adapted to all levels and given by qualified instructors, so that everyone could make the most of this winter adventure.
This camp was very enjoyable for us all and we’re very thankful for the experience you guys allowed us to receive and for the memories we will hold with us forever.
Off the slopes, the team of instructors put together a varied programme including toasting marshmallows round a campfire, karaoke evenings and board games in the chalet. It was a time of fun, sharing and laughter.
The weather was glorious and spirits were high as participants and instructors greeted the new year. To give aching legs a bit of a rest, the first day of the year was spent visiting Zermatt. The group had the chance to stroll around, and to see and admire the impressive Matterhorn.
After 10 days spent together and many memorable moments, everyone went home with lasting memories.
