Age18 and above
Accommodation

As soon as the applicant has received a definite place at the educational establishment, OSA will look for a spot with a host family. At the moment, host family spots are only available in German-speaking Switzerland. We cannot provide any guarantee that a host family spot will be available.
The host family will offer the young person a room as well as board and support them while they begin their education. The existing guidelines for the “Host family stay” offer apply. However, since the stay lasts longer, the host family receives CHF 500.00 per month for the expenses incurred.
The stay with a host family lasts a maximum of six months. The young persons must have found their own accommodation by the end of this period.

Price

CHF 500.00 (one-off payment) for planning and organisation and CHF 500.00 (monthly) for the host family

Notes

The advice and procedure are organised individually for each participant. We require sufficient time for this organisation to ensure that the stay is successful. Planning for participation in the “Springboard” project begins one year ahead of time!
Information and application at educationsuisse – education in Switzerland under Contact
educationsuisse can also advise young Swiss about scholarships.
Strong abilities in German or French are required! The programme is targeted at young people with a Swiss passport or graduates of a Swiss school abroad.

Each activity is organised and run by experienced team leaders. They have an efficient kitchen crew at their disposal and several group leaders to back them up. The team looks after the participants from the minute they get up until bedtime. The instructors organise all activities and are also available during periods of individual free time. All the members of these back-up teams take time off during their own holidays to take part in the camps without much financial compensation.
