Neuchâtel: Politics

Head of the Cantonal Administration Séverine Despland warmly invites all citizens of the Canton of Neuchâtel living abroad, to play an active part in Swiss political life. Along with Geneva and Zurich, Neuchâtel has been one of the cantons piloting the development of Internet voting since 2001. The pilot project has a budget of CHF 2.3 million, 80% of which is funded at federal level. The project has made it possible to take the first steps towards launching e-voting for all the canton’s citizens – at home or abroad. The cantonal administration and its head, Chancellor Monica Engheben, urge all Swiss citizens abroad, and especially those of Neuchâtel, to get involved in Swiss political life.
