Rules are required whenever people get together and communicate. The moderators on help to maintain the structure and organisation of the discussion forum on and thus contribute to ensuring high-quality exchange.


What is the role of the moderators on

The moderators are members of the website. Their task is to monitor the content of and to suggest discussion topics to stimulate activities on the site and to encourage other members to actively participate. The moderators also ensure that the contributions of the SwissCommunity members relate to the topic being discussed, comply with the provisions of the “general terms and conditions of use” and enable constructive discussion where the opinions of everyone taking part are respected.

How do I become a moderator?

The moderators are recruited by the Organisation of the Swiss Abroad which operates Anyone wishing to become a moderator on must be registered on the site and use it several times a week. Moderators’ skills are tested during a “trial period”. This role is performed on a voluntary basis.
