Valais: Politics

Chancellor Philipp Spoerri is the new head of the Valais cantonal administration. He urges all the Swiss abroad, especially those who are citizens of Valais, to get involved in Swiss political life.

Political discussions about electronic voting are still in progress, but no final decision has yet been taken. The Valais is waiting to find out more about the experiences of the pilot cantons in the e-voting project (Neuchâtel, Geneva and Zurich) before deciding on the introduction of electronic voting in the Canton.
