Obwalden: Education
The Canton of Obwalden pursues a progressive and far-sighted education policy. In 1999 the Cantonal Parliament debated a new education plan (Bildungskonzept – 160 kB) for the Canton. The new Education Law came into force in 2006.
Obwalden is a small canton and cannot offer education and training at all levels for all. However, by co-operating extensively with neighbouring cantons, the Canton of Obwalden is able to provide its citizens with a variety of solutions to their education and training needs.
