Nidwalden: Politics

Hugo Murer, Head of the Nidwalden Cantonal Administration, invites all the Swiss abroad, especially expatriates from Nidwalden, to get involved in Swiss political life.

Nidwalden's politicians were in at the start of the debate on the introduction of electronic voting in the Canton. Since Nidwalden has few citizens abroad (around 370 in 2009), the Canton is thinking of adopting one of the e-voting systems already set up by the pilot cantons. In particular, it believes that the system created by Geneva is best suited to its needs.
