Neuchâtel: Politics
Along with Geneva and Zurich, Neuchâtel has been one of the cantons piloting the development of Internet voting since 2001. The pilot project has a budget of CHF 2.3 million, 80% of which is funded at federal level. The project has made it possible to take the first steps towards launching e-voting for all the canton’s citizens – at home or abroad. The cantonal administration and its head, Chancellor Monica Engheben, urge all Swiss citizens abroad, and especially those of Neuchâtel, to get involved in Swiss political life.
