Geneva: Tourism

Geneva - a world of its own!

Beauty and elegance go hand in hand in Geneva, a city steeped in history that plays host to international organisations and get-togethers. It never ceases to amaze and enchant its visitors. The city's landmark fountain, the "jet d'eau", is world renowned, while its other characteristics make it a place well worth discovering. Situated in an exceptionally beautiful natural environment, tucked away between Lake Geneva and the Alps, the city boasts prestigious hotels, some of the country's most prized restaurants, a cultural life to rival the world's metropolises, as well as parks and gardens of stunning beauty.

Sports, shopping, nightlife can all be enjoyed - the offer is limitless!

But Geneva is also a centre of excellence in a number of areas, known for its watch-making expertise and its discrete banking services. Last but not least, the city's vineyards are the third largest in Switzerland, something to be kept in mind by all wine lovers.

Thanks to its international airport, located five kilometres from the city centre, and excellent rail connections that link the city to all European capitals, Geneva is an ideal destination for a city break or a family vacation, as well as conferences and events.
